A Week in Lexington

Pics from our "vacation" in Lexington -

The week started with a visit to the Hall house.

Jordi is starting to figure out this bike thing.

Jordi tossing a buck in the basket to show her appreciation.

With clouds overhead we decided to scrap our original plan to swim and, instead, visited the Kentucky Horse Park .

The threat of rain was enough to keep the crowds away. Here's Jordi and Caro waiting their turn for a pony ride.

As you can see, they both had a great time!

After a relaxing dinner at Ramsey's, we ended the day by cooling off in one Lexington's many fountains.

More pics coming soon!...

Summer Motion

We had so much fun attending all the Summer Motion happenings over the Fourth of July weekend; it really pained me to not be able to take any pictures! Luckily, our friend Christy Ford had her camera when we ran into her on the riverfront last Friday evening. Here are just 3 of the many wonderful images she captured:

The girls had been looking forward to cotton candy all week. Here's Caroline wearing the evidence of her enjoyment all over her face & hands!

This picture is good evidence of the easy rapport between Jordi & Christy; one who enjoys taking pictures & the other who enjoys being the subject of those pictures!

Being so close to the tracks, it was quite loud when a train rumbled through; hence the fingers in the ears! Anyway, I included this one because I think she looks simply lovely, cotton candy face and all!

Thanks again, Christy, for sharing your beautiful work with us!

Welcome 4th of July!

We kicked off our holiday weekend last night by burning a couple dozen sparklers & exploding a box of Pop-Its.

This year, they're both old enough to hold a sparkler all by themselves - they're thrilled! We had so much fun, in fact, that we used up most of our Fourth of July supply. I guess I'll be headed back to buy some more today!

Technical Note: You may notice that the above picture is a bit fuzzy. That's been happening for the past month or so, so I recently emailed Canon for advice. They recommend that I send it to them for repair, so I anticipate a decline in posting while my camera is gone. Keep your fingers crossed that it's a quick fix!
