Libby's Birthday Party

Libby turned 3 on Wednesday, and we had a GREAT time at her birthday party! It was held at the Ford's house, and Emily did a wonderful job as the Party Planner. Here is a picture of Libby & her mom, Sarah, enjoying some ice cream cake:

Actually, Caroline was the first to try the cake; she managed to get a fingerful of icing into her mouth even before we got the candles lit!

I love this picture of Jordi & Libby. As you may be able to tell by their crowns & other accessories, the theme of the party was The Disney Princesses. (The magic wands were very cool as they even had flashing lights!) As I was snapping this photo, Jordi waved her wand at me and said, "I magic you! P-schew!"

Cousin Libby Visits from Virginia

We've had a busy week, so I'll have lots of pictures to post over the next few days! Here's a start:

This week, we've all been enjoying spending time with cousin Sarah and her daughter, Libby, who are visiting from Virginia. This picture was taken on Monday, the first day we got together. As you can see, the girls had a wonderful time together on the trampoline, jumping... and falling!

It didn't take long for them to become fast friends!

Look at the expression on Caroline's face... she's definitely having a good time! (That's Muffin in the background holding her up.)

Weekend Getaway

Don't these two look cool? Here's a picture of Jordi and Aaron taken last weekend. The whole Pullem clan, (Chris, Lisa, Jords, Caro, Tim & Judy) went on an overnight getaway to Lexington, and Aaron met up with us there to make it a real family event! We all went to Keeneland on Saturday afternoon, and then just visited over dinner and in our hotel rooms the rest of the night. It was a lot of fun, especially since we haven't seen Aaron in awhile. Jordi had a big time telling yukking it up with "Uncle Al!"

Here's a picture of Caroline kicking back and enjoying herself at the hotel. Doesn't she look big!

Congratulations, Chris!

As was announced last week in the local paper, Chris has just gotten a wonderful new job: Economic Development Director for the city of Ashland! We are so thrilled! Please check out the article in the Daily Independent for all the details!

Post Easter Crash

This is a picture of Jordi the Monday after Easter. Too much chocolate the day before kept her awake most of the night, and she was so tired that she fell asleep at 10 a.m. while watching Blue's Clues! She was zonked until about 12:30! (I meant to post this last week, but we were very busy!)

Caroline Uses a Cup

Part of growing up during the first year is to progress from drinking from a bottle to a cup. Last month, when Caroline turned 9 months old, we stopped using the bottle completely. Since that day, during lunch or dinner, if she wanted some formula to drink, she had to take it from the sippy cup or go without! Initially, this really didn't suit her; there were quite a few meals that she only drank an ounce or two and dribbled the rest of it onto her bib. Well, she is now 10 months old, and I'm happy to announce that those days are over! Something clicked a few days ago, and now she not only can hold the cup by herself, but also gets the whole 8 ounces down the hatch without getting soaked! Yipee!

Easter 2006

We had a wonderful Easter. Here are some pictures of how the first part of the day went:

Good morning, Caroline! Not only did the Easter Bunny bring the girls Easter baskets, but also this fancy dollhouse. As you can imagine, they both love it!

Nana & Granddad joined us for breakfast, and here is a picture of Jordi helping make the Easter brunch pizza. (simple to make & very yummy, by the way!)

Even though Jordi isn't an official member of the Youth Choir (yet!), her cousin Emily made sure she was included in the festivities. As you can see, she wasn't shy at all about being in front of the entire congregation!

The girls with their cousins, Richard and Emily.

The Pullem Family, in our Easter best! That's all for now... more pictures later!

Jordi on the Trampoline

Ever since Jordi jumped for the first time earlier last week, she has been determined to get back on this trampoline! So, after daffodil pictures in the park and naps, we spent a very enjoyable evening in the Fords' back yard, spectating the terrific jumping show put on by Jordi & her cousin Emily. It took a lot of tries, but I finally got this picture of Jordi in the air! She loved every minute of it, and was completely worn out by the end. Fun!

Springtime Sunday

As you can see, we are having some beautiful weather today in Kentucky! The girls are dressed up in honor of Mom being confirmed today at church. Since they looked so cute, we decided to stop by Central Park afterwards to take a few pictures amongst the daffodils!

In this picture of Jordi, you can really get a sense of how many daffodils there are! It's very striking... a whole section of the park, just blanketed by bright yellow & white flowers!

And, just so you don't forget what we look like, here's one with Chris & me in it!
