Happy Independence Day

We had a wonderful Independence Day holiday that included a morning swim at the YMCA, hot dogs on the grill for supper, a wet walk home in a thunderstorm, and a great view of the fireworks from our front porch. It was such a relaxed day that the only picture I have is this one of Jordi:

She thoroughly enjoyed her first fireworks show, saying, "I've really never seen anything like this before!" She was tickled by all the colors & light, and not bothered in the least by the noise. Caroline will have to wait until next year; she was too tired to stay up so late!

This picture isn't from the Fourth, but it was taken at Summer Motion a couple days ago, so it fits the theme of today's posting. Although girls weren't in the mood for posing (especially Caroline!), I really like the backdrop of the blue Ashland bridge & the Ohio river. We'll remember this spot for future pictures!
